Board Meeting Minutes

September 8, 2009

 

Meeting began at 7:40pm at Loma Vista Elementary by BG Sick, President.

The August Board meeting minutes was approved and recorded by Angela McKeown , Secretary.

President Report by BG Sick: All coaches have to hold a license and that also includes assistant coaches. Next year the BUSC will be required to have an “F” License for all head coaches. Head Coaches must submit the results of the Metro scores and the home team is responsible for the posting of all scores. This must include the addresses on the back of the score cards. We still need volunteers for various tasks. Coaches will be responsible for emailing the results.

Treasurer Report by Beth Romig, VP Administration: Bank Account #1 Tri Counties Bank Account for August  2009 ending balance = $23133.54.  Bank Account #2: August 2009 ending balance = $4914.25. League entry fees and US Club Soccer fees must be separated in the financial budget. Abe Moser has been requested for goalie training for the BUSC. The storage facility will remain on the financial budget until further notice. Treasurer report was approved and recorded by Angela McKeown, Secretary.

Registrar Report by Cindy Sick: October 15 is the deadline for the State Cup (D1 Level ).

New Business:

Angela McKeown, Secretary - Volunteer status and definition statement. The team’s parents have the ability to pay or reimburse the Head Coach and Assistant Coach. This is based upon the collaboration of all parents on a volunteer basis. The BUSC Board motioned to use the IRS definition of volunteers in accordance to the term and conditions. This item was passed.

Referees Club: Evan Santee has accepted his responsibility to be the referee assigner for this year. We still are short of referees and we need some more qualified applicants.

Soccer Fields by Rob Robbins:  Lined two fields at Chico HS and one field at Neighborhood Church. The Neighborhood Church field will be cut lower to accommodate the soccer field. Chico HS fields look really nice and will be touched up on a Friday before the scheduled games. We will have the opportunity to use the DeGarmo fields for next year. The setup of the fields will be a community effort among the teams (BUSC & Chico Cal) that play home games. BUSC is responsible for field #1 that is parallel to the field hockey facility.

Dual Registration: Is Okay, according to Chris Sillars (Past President). The cost is $16.00 per player for dual registering. This will be based upon individual teams
